Keep in mind that my devices are meant to be used regularly for optimal performance, and if they sit unused for long periods, the wax can sometimes harden causing the magic slate to not work. The wax must be soft and somewhat sticky for the device to function properly. Sometimes warming up the board, and using the slate a few times will restore the slate to working order. I've had people contact me saying they ordered a Hornet or Butterfly a year or two years ago, and this is the first time they've tried to use it, and it doesn't work. I'm not surprised. If you leave your car sitting unused in the driveway for a year or two in the driveway and try to start it, you'll probably get the same result.

This model is the Cadillac of the Butterfly line. The front cover is plastic, and the back cover is heavy cardboard. The gimmick is printed with the logo to add extra "shade." I'm really very pleased with this.

I built the gimmick into the back cover COMPLETE WITH PRINTED LOGO for extra camouflage. You are looking at the gimmick in this view. Betcha never would have known, Eh? (It's on the right, by the way).

With the gimmick in the back cover, the handling is still the same as the Butterfly. Instant access to the information is ridiculously easy.

The side-opening feature (impossible in a smaller pad due to the action of the spiral) works beautifully as a perfect cover for your peek. The sturdy design of the pad will allow you to use this for years. The large impression surface means more information, bigger and more detailed drawings, and for Q and A at least five questions with one pass!
